 My story

I remember how lonely it was as a teenager. I wish I had someone to talk to and see me for me. I love being that person for teens now.

Growing up, I experienced firsthand how difficult and lonely the teenage years can be. That experience shaped my deep passion for working with teens, helping them navigate their emotions, relationships, and self-worth. I know how isolating it can feel to struggle in silence, and I want to provide the kind of support I wish I had during those years.

I believe in working therapeutically from a place of compassionate and gentle straightforwardness. My clients describe me as caring, empathetic, and effective, and my goal is to help you understand what is holding you back from reaching your full potential.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected, I am here to help you gain clarity, find relief, and build the confidence to move forward. Using an attachment-based, strength-based, and cognitive-behavioral approach, I focus on creating lasting change by helping individuals develop emotional resilience, self-esteem, and the ability to express emotions with confidence.

Originally from Yorba Linda, California, I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California for over 12 years, beginning my career in public and non-public schools, where I supported students struggling with mental health challenges.

My experience in school-based mental health gave me a deep understanding of the pressures teens face academically, socially, and emotionally. In addition to my background in cognitive behavioral therapy, I have specialized training in: Brainspotting, an innovative approach that helps individuals and athletes heal from trauma, anxiety, and mental blocks that prevent them from performing at their best. Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), which focuses on effective strategies to ground and calm the nervous system in the present moment, helping clients regulate emotions and build resilience.

I understand the unique struggles that come with being a student-athlete, as I balanced academics and collegiate softball during my own college years. I know firsthand the discipline, pressure, and time management required, and I am passionate about helping young athletes navigate performance anxiety, mental resilience, and personal growth.

In addition to my private practice, I serve as the Team Sports Psychologist at Cypress College, where I work closely with student-athletes and athletic staff to enhance their mental performance, confidence, and emotional well-being. Through individual and team-based interventions, I help athletes overcome challenges, strengthen their mental game, and perform at their highest potential.

After working in the school system for several years, I followed my dream of starting a private practice, where I grew from a solo therapist in Orange County to leading a thriving group practice dedicated to serving children, teens, young adults, and families.

Beyond my work, I am a wife, mother of three boys, and a Christian. I love reading, weightlifting, spending time outdoors with my family, and cheering on my kids in their sports. My personal experiences as a parent, athlete, and therapist all shape the way I support my clients with deep understanding and care.

HowI Help

OFFERING IN-PERSON & TELEHEALTH THERAPY

I know therapy can feel scary and uncomfortable at first. I’m sure it took a lot to ask for help. I want the office in Yorba Linda to be a safe place, so you feel comfortable being open and vulnerable. Not only do we provide therapy in Orange County, we provide online therapy in the state of California where it’s a great opportunity to attend therapy sessions in the comfort of your own home. Teletherapy also provides convenience and less stress, where you don’t have to worry about traffic or planning to get to a location on time. We want to make the therapy experience as easy, stress-free, and comfortable as possible. We are here to support you in person and remotely.
